Leisure in Clubhouse Amit

Leisure activities are important to the community, as they strengthen relationships, build team spirit, and increase the enjoyment of working together.

Thanks to the leisure activities, the work has more meaning, value and is more satisfying. As we’ve explained, the free time in the Clubhouse happens alongside the work – just like in any respectable place of work the Clubhouse invests in its workers through these extra activities.

Free time in the afternoon

The work day at Clubhouse finishes at 16:00, as it does in the Israeli workplace. On Mondays, the Clubhouse stays open from 16:00-18:00, to provide a change in routine and relax. This allows time for the members and staff to get closer, and to increase the feeling of belonging.

The leisure activities are varied, and change from week to week, they include: logic games, craft, music, karaoke, disco dancing and more.

The atmosphere is always good, and it is a lot of fun to hang out together in the afternoon!

Events and religious festivals

Our community is diverse and induces members and staffs from different religions and ethnicities. We take advantage of this reason to party, and celebrate the religious festivals of everyone! We’d be happy to tell you about two of the biggest festival events of the year:

1.    Chrismukkah!

Celebrating Christmas and Chanukah together! We got together in Clubhouse to light candles around

a pine tree. We danced, and gave each other presents. There were prize competitions, and as always

great food and a fantastic spirit!

2.    Purim Ball!

The biggest party of the year! The last ball we celebrated with Clubhouse Alon from Tiberias. There was a costume competition, falafel and lots of other snacks, the DJ was crazy and we danced till we dropped!

Day Trips

We have two day trips each year. The planning and leading of the trip is done by the

leisure committee, which includes members and staff working together.

Each year, we choose new locations across the country. For the last trip this year,

we visited Acre. It took us to the Knights Hall, Templar tunnels, we walked around

the port and ate in a restaurant in the market. There are no words to describe just

how great it was!

Birthdays

Once a month, we have a birthday party for everyone born that month. Everyone comes together to give their best wishes (and of course a gift of cafeteria coupons) to those who are celebrating their birthday.
