Who are we?

Clubhouse "Amit" in Nazerat is the first clubhouse that was opened in Israel in 2004. Since then, two more clubhouses were opened, one in Tiberias and another in Jerusalem. This clubhouse is the only clubhouse in Israel that has an official accreditation from the international clubhouse.

Clubhouse "Amit" in Nazerat Illit is a social and thriving community for people who face mental crises. Each person who has a rehabilitation basket is entitled to join (and it is worthwhile). The Clubhouse is not a "social club" but a warm house for members, to which one comes when one feels good and also when it is bad and difficult. We, the Clubhouse members, support each other and encourage each other through the twists of life.

Sometimes, when a person experiences a mental crisis, one also experiences an internal loss of identity. The principal essence of the Clubhouse and its members is helping a member find oneself, one's abilities and strength, and to help him or her to integrate back into work and into the community.

The clubhouse has two main units in which the members work;
The office unit - in which the administrative management of the clubhouse is performed - Verifications, presentations, clerical tasks and projects.

The culinary unit - in which we prepare breakfasts and lunches, cakes and coffee. We also prepare food for sale in special Clubhouse events.

In addition to the two main units, there is extensive activity:
Finding work outside the Clubhouse, a theatre group, an annual fundraising fair, trips, publicity, parties, holidays and more and more.

The Clubhouse population is diversified and includes members of all religions and we celebrate all holidays together.

A central and essential component is the option of free choice. Members choose when to come, what to do and how to do it. We believe that people should act out of internal motivation and not out of compulsion.
